While playing many different areas with my band Tigon, one of my favorite areas to play with unique passionate bands is the sacramento/davis area of northern california.  Some great bands such as Caulfield, Tera Melos, In Desparation, We are the Kids, Di Bravura and So Stressed have come from this area.  On a monday night in davis at a great new house venue we walked into some familiar faces setting up their gear to open the show.  There were former members of caulfield and we are the kids now present in a new band called Shy.  Having played many shows with these guys i was immediately excited to see what they have come up with next.  Shy played their debut demo straight through featuring slow instrumentals in the likes of Explosions in the Sky as well as indie/grunge jams with some of the best indie/grunge vocals ive heard since the 90′s.

I immediately started talking with Anthony and Krull about helping with their demos in some way.  After listening to it for a week straight i decided an analog cassette would be the best way to showcase their 90′s sound.  If your a fan of bands like Hum and Dinosaur Jr and some shoegaze you need to check this out.
